Additional Info
Helping my father (Jay Leber) search for his birth family-- we recently received his hospital records from Salvation Army booth hospital and home. The handwriting on these documents are very hard to read.

BABY BOY adoptee born on 8/13/64 in St. Louis, mo
- Birth name: Allen
- adopted name: Jay Alan Leber
- date & location: August 13, 1964 in St. Louis, Mo
- Born at 2:21 pm
- Weight: 8lbs
- length: 22'
- cord wrapped around neck x1
- date pregnancy was full term: 8/10/64
- has little sister from ADOPTIVE parents who was also adopted and born in 1968 ( her birth name was Robin Diane Sharp)

Biological mother:
- 39 years old at the time of birth and divorced
- 5'3'-5'4'
- 140lbs
- allergic to aspirin
- Protestant (all of this information is from his birth record from booth memorial)
- Previous pregnancies of mother indicates he has 2 siblings born before him:
- brother 1940
- sister born in 1945 (This is also from birth record... Which is very hard to read the handwriting so this dates may be off)

Biological father:
- has a history of twins in family

Additional info:
-He was either born at Salvation Army Booth Hospital / maternity home in St. Louis Mo or transferred here. I know for a fact he was there though. His birth certificate does not state a hospital name but instead an address which points back to the old Jewish Hospital in St. Louis that is now Barnes Jewish Hospital - 216 S. Kingshighway

-Adoption would have taken place in Illinois. Possibly through St. Clair circuit court, family division in Belleville Illinois. I believe Dorothy Modglin was his caseworker. (Info from hospital record) It could have also taken place in Monroe County Illinois as that's where his adoptive parents resided. It did NOT take place in the state of Missouri where he was born.

- Adoptive parents are both deceased and we have no records of adoption or anything Relating to his adoption from them. The only thing he was ever told was that his mother was 19 or 20 at the time of his birth. Which clearly doesn't match the hospital records from booth memorial stating that she was 39.

- we have been told by family friends that either his biological mother or father was local so from Monroe county Illinois or surrounding areas? We were also told one of his parents was possibly Jewish but they weren't sure if this was a fact
