Looking for my twin sister, her birth certificate most likely says September 8 1992, this was done so we wouldn’t find out we were twins until we were 18, but her adoptive parents told her she was a twin and the birth parents only kept 1 of us & also told her that her birth family never wanted her to contact them, which was a lie, my mother didn’t want her to know they didn’t keep both of us, she didn’t know she was having twins until the end of her pregnancy & she was told one of us was a boy, the plan was to give the boy up for adoption because they couldn’t afford to give us both the best lives. But when we came out as two girls our mom wanted to keep both of us, but they told her it was too late & assured her her wishes would be followed & when she was 18 she would have the option to contact us. Our mom never wanted her to grow up thinking she wasn’t wanted, she wanted to explain it to her when we were adults. Our mom wanted us both to have great lives & my sister did go to a good family, but they told her she wasn’t wanted & that we wanted nothing to do with her ever & it was the exact opposite! Our mom wanted to keep us both when she saw we were both girls & my grandfather actually made sure we saw each other until we were 3, we didn’t know we were sisters, but she was always loved & my moms heart was crushed when she found out the birth mother told her those things at such a young age. It was always in our mom and dads plan to reunite us, as long as she wanted it too. But we never got that chance because they told her we didn’t want to be found. I just found out about it, I always remembered her, but they told me we weren’t related, even though we were identical, they changed her birthday so we wouldn’t know until we were 18, but our families had some kind of disagreement and after 2001 we never saw her again. I wish I knew sooner. Her name is Cassie, I’m pretty sure & she was born in PA & her grandfather lived in hazleton, but she moved to either Virginia or Maryland around 1995.
