I believe that one parent was employed by the University of Southern California (USC) and the other parent was employed by the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). My ex-wife insisted on the adoption because I was only a Private in the Army and she thought we couldn't afford to keep her. The Catholic Adoption representative really facilitated the adoption and made it real easy for my ex-wife to just give our baby to someone else.
