I believe I am my birth mother's oldest child because of information I found out when my maternal half-brother found me through AncestryDNA. She named me and brought me home from the hospital after I was born. She took care of me for almost 3 months before I was adopted, on August 12 1980. My multi-ethnic little brother was unnamed after he was born on March 14 1982 in Caddo Parish for the 3-4 days before he was adopted through VOA in Bossier City. Whoever cared for him just called him Baby Boy Doe. His adoptive parents lived in between Natchitoches and Alexandria, and already had 2 biological daughters and an older adopted son when they adopted him. \nAncestryDNA and a wonderfully amazing search angel also found my birth father's family for me. His name was Edwin, but everybody called him Dinky. He died in November 2016, so I would have never had the chance to meet him after I turned 18, and I honestly don't think he even knew about me. He lived in the Caddo Heights neighborhood, on Alma Street in Shreveport. It's the same street as, and LESS THAN 2 blocks away from my adoptive aunt's house until a couple years before he died.
