My father was adopted and I’m trying to find some of his birth relatives.\n\nHere are some details I have. If anything sounds like someone in your family, please let me know. \nI realize how lengthy this is and I appreciate the time and energy you may spend on it.\n\nMy father is deceased now but was born in North Carolina on November 9, 1956 and placed in the Children’s Home Society in Greensboro, NC on Nov. 29, 1956.\n\nI have very little information about his birth father. The adoption agency did not speak to him directly as the birth mother reported that he was in the US army at the time.\n\nAccording to the birth mother, the birth father was a 21-year-old white American, with a Baptist affiliation. He was 5’ 5”, 130 lbs., had blue eyes, light wavy brown hair with a fair complexion.\nHe was a high school graduate and serving in the US Army. He had hopes of becoming a doctor and was interested in airplanes.\nThe birth mother also thought that he may have been an only child.\n\nHis birth mother was a 14 yr. old, American, 5’3”, 132 lbs. with brown eyes, dark brown wavy hair and a fair complexion. She had completed 7th grade and been promoted to 8th grade. She enjoyed art, music and horseback riding.\n\nThe birth mother’s father was a 56-year-old high school graduate and worked as a truck driver for a tile and brick company. He enjoyed horses and horseback riding. He was 5’ 5”, weighed 180 lbs. and had brown hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion.\n\nHer mother was 55 yrs. old, completed 8th grade and worked in the laundry service before becoming a housewife.\nShe was 5’ 3”, 240 lbs. with blue eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion. \n\nMy father’s birth mother was one of eight children; 1 brother, 6 sisters. The details I was given for her siblings follows:\nSister, 31 yrs. old., completed 8th grade, worked in shirt factory, \n5’ 5”, 243 lbs., brown eyes, black hair, fair complexion\n\nSister, 29 yrs old, schooling unknown, housewife, \n5’ 4”, 160 lbs., brown eyes, dark brown hair, fair complexion\n\nSister, 26 yrs old, schooling unknown, housewife, \n5’ 9”, 130lbs, blue eyes, brown hair, light brown complexion\n\nBrother, 24, was cashier at grocery store but unemployed, \n5’ 7” 130 lbs, brown eyes, dark brown hair, fair complexion\nSister, 21, completed 10 grade and worked in a shirt factory\nSister, 20, high school graduate and worked in an electronics plant\nSister, 19, high school graduate and was a housewife\nBoth of his birth mother’s paternal grandparents were deceased. Unsure of reason for grandfather’s death but her grandmother died because of cancer.\n\nHis birth mother’s maternal grandfather was deceased as a result of a heart attacked.\nHer maternal grandmother was 65 and in good health.\n
