We are searching for my paternal grandmother's birth family. She did not know she was adopted until after her adopted parents had passed away. We know that she was born in Battle Creek, MI in 1945 and that it was a closed and sealed adoption. We have tried and failed to unseal the records. My grandmother passed away in 2013, but both of her daughters and two of her granddaughters (myself included) have had our DNA tested and made public on 23andMe. I have uploaded my DNA to GEDmatch as well in hopes of finding our missing family.
