Sharon is my mother. She says that she was sent from the hospital by train to Waterloo to her adoptee parents Leslie and Ethel McCreedy, who were in California when Sharon was ready to be placed. Sharon stayed with a social worker a couple of days until they got back to Waterloo, to begin the two month pre-adoption period. We have nothing more. I am not sure of the veracity of her delayed birth certificate, because I am not able to confirm or locate family trees of Harry A. Taylor or Nellie Mae Brown.
