I am trying to find the identity of my father's birth parents, my grandparents. My father, given the name Richard Leland Corbin after being adopted by the Corbin family, was born September 30,1908, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. A possible birth name would be Raymond or Rayburn Brown/e. I found a paper in a drawer with the name I just mentioned and asked my mother what this paper was and who this person was. That's when I learned that my father was adopted, but my Grandmother, Eva Bowers Corbin, wanted it kept a secret. Nothing more was said - that was in 1953. I'm also interested in learning about my genetic family history & medical history. \n\nI also seem to have a DNA connection to the surname Maurer, and the state of Iowa.
