When I was born, I was put in a hip brace for a click in the left hip.

My birth mother did see me in the room, and I was held by my maternal grandparents and maternal aunt.

I was fostered from 4-24-87 until 5-11-87, when I was placed.

My birth mother listed her ethnic background as Swede/English/French, 5'2' 148lbs, blue eyes and dark blonde hair, 21 years old at the time of the birth. Religion was listed as Baptist, allergies to pollen, dust mold, grass, and mesquite, took Motrin during the pregnancy, no cigarettes, no excessive alcohol, and no illegal drugs. Finished 12th grade, and my adoptive parents were told that she was attending or planned to attend college. Worked as a waitress, enjoyed choir, drill team, and writing poetry.

She listed an 18 year old sister who was 5'5' and 125lbs, brown eyes/hair, olive coloring, enjoyed track, rifle corp, and band.

She listed a 41 year old mother, Swede/English, 5'3' 150lbs, blue eyes, strawberry blonde hair, protestant, history of alcoholism, astigmatism, finished 12th grade, worked as a laborer.

She listed a 41 year old father with brown hair and eyes, 5'8' 155lbs, protestant, French background, also history of alcoholism, emphesema, and his mother had a history of hypoglycemia. He finished 11th grade, was a commercial fisherman, did martial arts, and was a hunter.

I have no information on my birth father.

I was called Zachary while I was in foster care from 4-24-87 to 5-11-87.

I've run my DNA through two services, so you can find me on 23andme.com or ancestry.com, as well as GEDMatch if you think we might be closely related. There are a few close matches on both 23andme and Ancestry that have not opened their records to me, so I'm still waiting for a close relative to send me something that will let me backtrace a family tree.

A lot of my matches on those sites are Irish, so I believe that my birth father's ethnicity was probably Irish, but that is just speculation.
